Frida Kahlo frequently wore Tehuana traditional Mexican skirts and tops and this particular skirt dates from when Kahlo was still alive - making it highly collectible. Even the colors are reminscent of Kahlo's paintings. It is in beautiful vintage condition showing no major signs of wear.
The skirt is set on a thick yet soft brown velvet which is backed with blue cotton polka dot print lining. It features an all-over floral motif with several large flowers and roses (ranging in size from about 2" to " in 5" each). The original white lace underskirt is included but detached and the waistband is adjustable. Because of the extra folds in the fabric and style of the waistband, this skirt can be configured to fit a number of different sizes.
