Hand painted, hand dyed, embroidered and absolutely surreal vintage 1960s Japanese Furisode Kimono with original obi. Very rare and in impeccable wearable condition, this lovely Furisode Kimono is made of Kinsha silk- a beautiful type of Japanese silk that resembles crepe. It is very light and airy and has a wonderful drape and feel to it. It is fully lined in silk satin and features a brilliant and bright red satin lining detail on the sleeves. There is so much detail to this kimono, it is almost overwhelming!

There are beautiful flecks of gold foil sprinkled throughout, and each flower and design has been impeccably hand dyed or painted on. The embroidered flowers are done with a high-relief satin stitch, and there are flowers that have also been embroidered with metal beaded thread as well. The original obi is made of a thick and sturdy brocade and the kimono includes all of the original accessories. Whether you intend to wear this kimono traditionally as a wedding dress, to special occasions, or simply to wear it and admire the art - treat yourself to a beatiful piece of Japanese textile art to treasure and own.

About this type of Japanese Kimono:
