Beautiful antique Victorian satin evening gown featuring mesh sleeves and silk polychrome embroidery. This stunning ball gown exudes femininity and class. With an elongated train in the back, embroidered appliques throughout, it is obvious that this gown has been sewn with only the utmost care. The plum satin color is rich and vibrant giving the gown a lot of life.

Cut in the classic Victorian/Edwardian style, this gown is fitted at the waist, is bias cut throughout the hips, and has room in the back for a crinoline and/or bustle. We photographed it here with a simple cotton crinoline. Paired with a black plumed hat, this dress would be lovely to wear to a Victorian/Steampunk ball, event, gala, or wedding.

Era: 1870s-1910

Size: Large (best fits a size 10, 12 or 14)
Please note* it could be altered at back center closure to fit a smaller waist/bust.

Measurements taken while laying flat:
Bust: 40"
Waist: 30"
Hips: Bias cut allowing for use of crinoline or bustle. The gown can fit multiple hip sizes - Up to 50"
Length: 60" long in front, 62" long in back

Condition: Good vintage condition showing some wear - priced accordingly, sold in as-is condition. The upper part of the bodice has faded to a slightly lighter color from the bottom of the gown. The fading is gradual though so luckily it is not very noticeable. The gown has been repaired at the back center *see photos. The very bottom of the gown has some nicks/snags in the fabric and some small spots. Again, because of the location the snags in fabric aren't too distracting. The organza lining underneath the mesh fabric at sleeves is torn but again because it is underneath it isn't too noticeable. The dress is still very wearable and could be altered if needed.
