This is an extremely rare and absolutely beautiful handmade Chinese jacket dating from the 1940s. The hand embroidered birds and flowers in black thread create a striking contrast against a white silk charmeuse backdrop. Every single rose, bird, and flower is embroidered with such careful and precise detail. My favorite feature on this jacket is the little pollen dots in the middle of the flowers (see close-ups). Words can not do justice to describe this jacket. It is so much more beautiful in person! The silk on this jacket is also very soft on the skin - it feels like absolute heaven. Wear it with a pair of silk trousers for a complete look or simply hang it on display and admire its beauty.

Condition: Excellent vintage condition. No holes or tears on this jacket. Embroidery is in mint condition. There is one tiny stain on the front left panel of the jacket (see photo). Other than that, is is perfect!
