Incredible 1940s Couture Tailoring Parisian LeSur Gray Wool Jacket
Incredible 1940s Couture Tailoring Parisian LeSur Gray Wool Jacket
Incredible 1940s-50s expertly tailored gray wool jacket made of a rare LeSur fabric. Designed and made in France, this stunning jacket is fitted and weighted with double-breasted fabric-covered buttons, 3/4-length sleeves, perfectly mitered seams, and unusual collar and cuff detail. Despite the hardships of WWII, the 1940s were a brilliant decade for fashion. While Hollywood's Golden Age stars dazzled in gorgeous gowns, women across the West embraced a more utilitarian yet chic look. With the onset of Christian Dior's 'New Look' in 1947, fashion was characterized by gorgeous full skirts and waist-cinching jackets.
A truly rare and original find from the 1940s-50s, this wearable jacket is a fine addition to your vintage clothing collection. Made in Paris with fabric by LeSur. Fully Lined.
