Incredibly beautiful 1920s silk pongee kimono robe. Hand blocked orange and blue roses, florals, and leaves set on a tissue weight ecru silk. Rare and beautiful piece to own and wear. Looks just like the kimono in the original 1930 painting "A New Day" by William Henry Margetson (see last photo, c/o https://theartstack.com/artist/william-henry-margetson/new-day-1930)

Condition: Very good. Wearable and presents beautifully. Some loose silk threads in fabric/very light pilling. Professionally cleaned and ready to wear.
